Higher Education

So maybe I went to university for 14 years. Bit unimaginative, that, but it speaks for my thirst--for knowledge, for coffee, for leisure, for anything but work. Endless deferral. So perhaps that explains the pile of catalogs on my desk and on my laptop: The New School, Antioch, UCLA Extension, U of Calgary, UBC, Mount Royal College, Royal Roads College, the American University of Beirut, Santa Monica Community College, the Calgary Jewish Center. What will it be? Introduction to Feng Shui. Business Communications: Crisis Management. Italian for Travellers. Intermediate Modern Standard Arabic. Power Pilates. Creative Writing: Finishing Your Screenplay. Whole Grain Baking. Anger Management. Aztec Cosmology. Making Dried Apple Heads. And I'm not alone: Hane takes acting, riding, and Introduction to Insane Puppy Wrangling. Zabeth takes Mediation Training. Seestor takes Sit-ups, Crunches and Other Agonizing Retarded Things To Do With Your One Morning Off a Week.

I think I'll offer an online course: Play Tetris and Stare Out the Window Once You've Lost AGAIN Then Eat Some Trail Mix. Can be repeated for Credit.
