Heroes of Particle Physics

When I was a kid, I didn't know that it was possible for a person to grow up to be a hero of particle physics. If I had known that there was a career that involved finding dimensions, I would have signed up for it. I blame Mr Lukeman, my junior-high math teacher, who told great tales of opening a boarding school for wayward girls in PEI, but didn't much care whether anyone in his class could count beyond ten.

I wonder what would happen if a person were to race wayward Maritime girls through a vast underground chamber in Switzerland, colliding them into one another deep beneath the streets of Geneva?
