Farewell, Turkmenian markhor. We hardly knew you.

"OTTAWA (Reuters) - An exotic goat in Canada's Calgary Zoo accidentally hanged itself after it became entangled in a rope and then fell off a log, CTV television reported on Sunday."

Perfectly understandable. Even goats from Turmenia would rather be dead than live through one more day of winter in Canada.

One small tragedy for goatdom, one big boom for tourism in Alberta:
